We are a group of certified members of the 5 Star Movement, active citizens who, since the end of July, have gathered to contest the legislation that has excluded thousands of people from the Citizenship Income circuit. We have seen and experienced the tragedy of many families who found themselves without any support while others were able to enjoy their summer holidays. It was not easy to "find ourselves", nor was it easy to "build" our group, also because we did not receive any help to coordinate ourselves from our spokespersons, who were also waiting, regarding the Territorial Groups, for indications from Rome . It took us too long to create our Territorial Groups and we had to wait while everything fell apart. Contact with spokespersons in recent years has often been limited to "institutionalized" chats on WhatsApp, some of which were limited only to press releases from spokespersons, while others, more democratic, allowed comments but ignored those who solicited support for the protest from former earners. This detachment led to the birth of several groups of Sicilian activists who could not ignore the situation and pretend not to see or act. Citizenship Income must be defended not only in parliamentary commissions, but also in the streets. We are aware that our measure must be protected both in the streets and in Parliament, but we have no voice and we cannot say it. We, far from the buildings, chose the square. We met, discussed and planned together with numerous active associations and collaborated with trade unions rooted in the area, created to represent the needs of the least fortunate, the unemployed and the working poor. On September 15th we participated together with the Prefecture of Palermo in our first "together" demonstration. Our spokesperson in the Chamber, Davide Aiello, joined us and we thank him for his important political contribution and for his solidarity with our "spontaneity". To meet, get to know each other and grow we used different means and places: video conferences, bars, shopping centers and locations offered by friendly and nearby facilities. We have paid hard for our organization which is not yet fully developed in the area. We do not want to further highlight the problem of frequent changes of jersey, but we remain vigilant and attentive. We demand respect for the rules, especially from those who have taken positions not in line with our ethics. This is why we are present in this assembly today: we have no expiring mandates and we have been active for many years. Let's not abandon the dream of those who founded the 5 Star Movement. We are citizens who become the State, we believe in the fight for Direct Democracy and we firmly support Transparency, Participation and the Sharing of responsibilities and information. This is what we ask of the Assembly, as certified members of the Movement, today.
